CHU Méridien, training a large cohort of caregivers in hospital-violence prevention.
South-East regional university hospital facing rising operational incidents in the emergency room. MethodK level-2 prevention programme deployed over 18 months to a large cohort of caregivers. 2-day onsite sessions, simulation workshops, post-incident follow-up. Material drop in declared incidents.
“Before the MethodK training, our nurses left the ER after 8 months. Today they stay and know what to do.”
Stabilise teams facing violence in emergency.
The hospital recorded rising operational incidents in the ER. High ED nursing turnover, sensible turnover among emergency physicians. Risk to care quality, risk to teams. Direction wanted a level-2 training programme (post-incident, physical aggression handling) deployed across all exposed services.
24/7 teams · high mental load · difficult adherence.
Caregivers work 24/7, impossible to mobilise a whole team in training. High mental load makes adherence to additional training difficult. The format had to be highly operational, short, and regularly renewed. Qualiopi compliance required.
2-day modules · simulation · post-incident follow-up · internal ambassadors.
2-day onsite modules, 12-15 person sessions. Programme built around realistic simulations (video workshops, role-plays) rather than theoretical lectures. Post-incident follow-up cell with individual support. Training of internal ambassadors (32 referents) to relay between sessions and maintain momentum.
